Sarah grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado with her parents and two sisters. She is proud to be a Colorado Native! Sarah began riding horses when she was five and joined the Westernaires Precision Drill Team at age eight. With this group she rode on numerous teams participating in high speed rodeo drills, liberty events, (jumping with no saddle or bridle) and pony romans. At age eleven Sarah became the proud owner of her very first horse, an Appaloosa named Guy. She and Guy rode the trails at Chatfield State Park for seven years until Guy passed over the rainbow bridge.
Sarah was Head Wrangler at Bear Trap Ranch in Colorado Springs from 2009 to 2010 where she led kid and adult back country trail rides. In 2012, Sarah graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University and In July of 2012 Sarah married her husband Luke. In 2013 Sarah and Luke adopted a wild Mustang out of the Canyon City Prison system. Dylan, also known as Fuzz was the first horse Sarah started from the ground up. With the close instruction of her Trainer, Sean Davies, Sarah and Dylan had their first ride one month after becoming a team. Since then she and Dylan moved multiple times but are happy to now call Spirit Heart Ranch their home. Sarah and Dylan enjoy riding nearby trails, teaching lessons and riding at liberty in and out of the arena.
Sarah focuses on instruction for older children, teens and at times beginner adults. Sarah has limited availability and there may be a wait list for lessons with her.
An interesting fact about Sarah:
When Sarah was 14 she bought her first I-pod with money she earned by giving camel rides at the Adam’s County State Fair.
